For more than twenty  years Colin has been freelance, working in the film and TV industry. In 1991 he was contracted to Mentorn Films in London as a location sound recordist/mixer, where he stayed for 18 months before returning home to Scotland. During that time he worked on a range of broadcast television programmes including Arts Magazine shows for LWT, Anglia, Central and CH4. He also worked on a number of the “Challenge Aneka” shows for the BBC. Since returning to Scotland he has continued to work as a sound recordist for all the major broadcast television companies, numerous corporate video productions, and also on low-budget feature films. He has gained experience in a wide range of television productions inc. news, current affairs, light entertainment, historical and science documentaries, music, dance and drama.  

He has also, developed a small studio recording facility at his home, which is ideal for the editing and mixing of previously recorded material and includes a custom built booth for voice-over or solo instrumental recording.
